Want more startup security

I have not used the lvm crypto when i installed my ubuntu
but i want something like that now

in other words i want to secure my ubuntu from starting up without a password and also make sure none without the password can access the files and folder ,

so what can i do?

I have not used the lvm crypto when i installed my ubuntu but i want something like that now .... so what can i do? Download the "Alternate Install CD", burn it to CD, and then reinstall.
