Hello there.

I am using Ubuntu server 8.04.3 LTS, on top of which I have installed KDE desktop (kubuntu).
I have attached to this server a usb rack with a 400 GB SATA hdd.
When from the kde interface I right click and then Safely Remove the rack is unmounted, some synchronizing is performed and the hard from the rack is kind of powered off.

If I run from command line umount /dev/sdb1 the hard drive is unmounted but is still working (I can still hear it, is still getting worm).
Does anyone knows how can I do from command line what I am doing from KDE context menu ? I think from KDE context menu is not a simple umount command launched !

Thank you !
Gabi
