Hi everybody,

I'm looking for some kind of method to display almost the entire website on my Dell Netbook without having to scroll around to much. I'm thinking of some kind of browserextension, which works like browsing on an iPhone - there you have a rough preview of the site, and you can choose which part of the site you wanna see in detail .. that would make browsing sites on a 10" monitor much easier, so if anyone has an idea, let's hear it!

cheers,

E

I ordered my mini 10 with the 1366 x 768 resolution screen just to cover the situation you are dealing with. I know of no app that can help you, at least not yet.

That's not so good. When I ordered my Mini 10v, there was no resolution option, so I'm stuck with 1024 x 600 and scrolling :/

I don't have any real problems with my 1024x600 screen, but there is a zoom function on FF.

I use:
FF3.5 (or 3.0) with LittleFox addon
Default font: Serif 16pt

While I do use the vertical scroll a lot (but I find this very easy with scrolling along the right trackpad border), I hardly ever use any horizontal scrolling.

The iPhone browser only really works well because of the touch-screen zoom function; I'm not sure it owuld even translate well to the Mini.

The new Maemo 5 browser is Mozilla-based and open-source for a Debian base; if people actually find this useful, perhaps someone might port it. But I wouldn't hold my breath...
