Yahoo signing in problem!!!

My Ubuntu 9.04 has Pidgin 2.5.5 and GyachE Improved 1.2.2. When I try to login to my yahoo from both (not simultaneously), both cannot sign me in. Even after several times, i cannot sign in. Pidgin just shows blank screen and seems to be idle while Gyache connects for some seconds and then disconnects automatically (see attachment).
Please help me solve this problem. Or suggest me any other which lets me sign in to yahoo!!

P.S.- I can sign in via Yahoo messenger in Windows without any hindrance.

The only thing I can think of is, in Pidgin, make sure that your friends aren't hidden: Buddies -> Show -> Offline Buddies. Hope that works.

Check for threads about pidgin and yahoo issues, las few months YAhoo made changes to their login protocols, maybe they are at it again.

Guys! I upgraded my Pidgin to 2.6.1, as told.
But the problem still persists.
Do I have to change that pager server as well??
Please help!!

Try changing it, I'm using 202.43.216.6 as server
