Hello Everybody,

What a trip working on this server has been over the last few weeks. (I am totally new here with no computer background)

Have SSH, LAMP, VSFTPD, SAMBA all installed, seem to be running ok, here is my issue:

When I go to my domain (obtained from GoDaddy), let's say "example.us", I get a password prompt that leads to my Zoom ADSL modem's configuration menu.

Also, signing into my ADSL modem seems to have reset my port forwarding changes to my Linksys 4-port switch/router.

What should my next first step in a journey of thousand miles be?

Thanks a million?

Do you have your DSL modem set up to do port forwarding? You have to configure both it and your 4-port router to get the traffic to the correct internal IP.

That's odd. Did you check the settings or are you going off of the network behavior?
