View Full Version : [SOLVED] Using a KVM Switch with Ubuntu 8.10

Ok here is the deal im running Ubuntu 8.10 and its going through a KVM switch

would that in effect cause the problems im having with the Monitor not being found?

Currently i have a Acer AL216W moniton and a ATI 3D mach 64 Video Card.

Any ideas?

Do a direct conect between the computer and monitor to get it setup properly and make sure the switch supports the resolution you want. Once everything is setup running thru the switch shouldn't be a problem. I've had to do that a number of times now and works fine after.
