I wan to work with ubuntu hardy with lxde only,i want to uninstall my gnome?

Is it possible?

otherwise i want to use only xfce and similarly without gnome?

find gnome-desktop in synaptic and mark it for complete removal. make sure you have xfce or lxde installed first

ya you correct,but so many lxde and xfce files are depends upon gnome files,so Is it any problem occurs after i uninstall gnome-desktop? for both lxde and xfce

i have uninstalled using synaptic ,but in lxde the some of the packages not working,example gnome-terminal is not working
