When I logout of a local console session (not ssh) on Ubuntu Server 9.04 the login text doesn't appear. All I see is a blinking cursor. I can switch to another console (eg. ctrl+alt+F2) but when I switch back to the original console (ctrl+alt+F1) it still just shows a blinking cursor. How do I fix this?
