I just switched from XP to Ubuntu, install and so forth went like a charm. I am facing the problem though that the lightning calendar extension doesn't seem to be working correctly in Thunderbird. I downloaded the Linux xpi from the calendar project site and installed it. The calendar shows up but I don't seem to be able to change views from let's say daily to monthly. It's stuck on the monthly view.

Has anyone any ideas for me?
So far I did reinstall Thunderbird and lightning (from a fresh download).

found a solution myself: when installing the lightning extension from the ubuntu repositories using add-remove, it seems to work fine.

Maybe a version conflict? Meaning that the Thunderbird version in the ubuntu repositories doesn't go well with the latest lightning .xpi?

Who knows!

The newest development Lightning needs Thunderbird 3.x
