Banned because I work with transistors everyday and have never heard a collector make a random noise, or any noise other than a rare pop. I have seen seemingly random smoke, random arcs, and even random fouling, but none of that is really even random by definition.

Also banned because if you had the number of teenagers in your house using the word "random" in every other sentence that I do, and you knew what random actually means, you would be pulling your hair out too.

Banned because I work as the IT Admin and the Production Facilitator for a small electronics company. I draw schematics and design PCBs. I can translate the noise from the transistor wired correctly with it's collector open into random figures 0-255 or 0-1023 with little effort (and little bits all soldered up nice).

Banned because I've known the true meaning of random for a long time and I can see the relationship the teenagers draw from their understanding of it: I didn't foresee this occurring, therefor it is TOTALLY RANDOM lol. Pathetic but not completely lacking LOGIC.

And, banned because I have 3 teenage boys that call me dad. I also have another that thinks he lives here, but he only sleeps here half the time. And, somehow, I had 3 teenage girls move in over the summer. If anyone knows about random chaos, I think I do.

Not to mention that I also used rand, rnd, and other random commands nearly 30 years ago and I too thought they were actually random back then. But, today I know better.
