Many of the popular Windoze games have a similar game on the linux box. Is there a game similar to Warcraft III that is available on the Linux boxes. I have Cedega and a video card on order. But I love the Genre of Warcraft III/Frozen Throne, but because of familiarity have been getting a little bored with them and would like to try something else. I looked through the games directory and didn't find anything, does anyone have a suggestion for a game with similar strats as WCIII but a little bit different that is a Linux game.
Thanks

It's not the same thing, but I've had some fun with Tribal Trouble (http://tribaltrouble.com/). It's RTS light, you could say. Lots less to build, more casual game. It really depends on what kind of player you are if you will like it or not, I guess. :)
Very few games on any platform would stack up to Blizzards RTS's I think...

Thanks, I will give it a try. I am not into SIM's persay and enjoy a good 30 minute BNet game, if that help's describe my personality.

There used to be freecraft, but Blizzard sent them a cease and desist letter...
Anyway, the linux game tome lists this as the successor:

Haven't tried either, but looks good. :)

It's not so much a successor as just a name change. Since FreeCraft was SO similar to StarCraft/WarCraft it apparently was trying to move into Blizzard's territory..... (sarcasm, such a wonderful thing....)
By the way, this is one of the reasons I hate Blizzard and won't play any of their games. Not to mention I never thought of them as all that original and enjoyable. The other reason being they did the same crap to the bnetd project.
