hi, i was going to watch some of those desktop videos but i can't remember where they are. can you show me? i thought it was freedesktop.org/ but maybe not. thanks

thanks, but there's a whole page of downloads somewhere showing how people use desktop programs. it shows how user friendly the programs are and how people interact with them.

yeah whooooohooooo, it's Better Desktop \\:D/ thanks everyone. i'm going to look at linclips too, thanks :-D xequence, it looks like we're the only two without video links to Linux desktops, not any more :-D i can go and laugh at all the people who know less then me now, if that's possible :mrgreen: that was a joke btw, i know lots ;) :D :D

The ones from Betterdesktop.org were made by Novel so that developers can improve the UI of the Gnome desktop.
Novel got a dozen or so people of varying computer experience and asked them to do standard desktop tasks such as rotating pictures, finding address book contacts, and playing specific songs.
I wonder if the devs at canonical have had a look at these (very interesting) videos.

hi, i didn't really want to watch people using their desktops, (i ended up watching one video then cancelling the second download - the download kept on running in the background and when i noticed my connection was slow i found the connection and went to the IP and thought someone had setup an apache server on my computer when i saw a generic apache page because the site was having problems) that will teach me to say i want to laugh at people how know less then me - it was a joke anyway :(
i was more concerned about finding the site because it irritated me i couldn't find it.
