Im abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, coming from the US. My laptop only has Ubuntu on it (Dell Inspiron with Intrepid Ibex). My apartment here has a DSL connection, and my computer claims its connected, but it doesnt actually work. None of the open wireless networks Ive tried worked either, including the one in the airport. What do I have to change in the configuration to get it to work with the Argentinian setup?

Sorry for the complete lack of details here. Im in an internet booth away from my computer. Im also very green in terms of Ubuntu, using the computer just for word processing and Firefox 95% of the time. Please let me know what information you might need, and Ill get it. Ive barely touched the setup of the computer since I got it in July, if that helps.

(Hablo espaol tambin si es ms conveniente)

Thanks a bunch in advance!

Had to bump the thread, its an emergency...

Any hints, leads, places to start, would be very much appreciated. My computer wont connect to any network here, but I had absolutely no trouble in the US. Hasnt anybody else run into this?
