HEllo i have jaunty installed on my D drive and XP on my C drive.
Now i want to replace XP with Windows 7 without effecting Jaunty on D.
How do i do that?

Well just to be extra safe you can unplug the jaunty disk drive. Then insert the windows CD and install it to the C Drive. The windows CD should have partitioning options to set up the drive for installing.

Well i don't have two drives. i have only one hard disk partitioned into C, D, E, F, G.
what do i do in that case?

Upgrading XP to 7, or reinstalling is gonna result in you needing to re-install GRUB. Other than that, I don't see how it would affect Jaunty.

OK then when i do a clean install of windows 7 on C and boot the computer it will boot directly into windows 7 and not recognize Jaunty?
How to reinstall GRUB?
