View Full Version : [SOLVED] Skype Beta Beta 32 Bit

September 5th, 2009, 08:17 PM
My previous Skype version ran like a charm on my Dell Mini 9 netbook. The O/S is 9.04. A couple of days ago I installed the newer "BETA" version of Skype and I get tons of white noise. It is useless!!!
So I tried to remove the BETA version; but it does not even show up as an installed program in my applications? I have a copy of the older Skype version but it won't let me install it since I have the newer BETA version.
I am very new to Linux and have no idea if there is a "back door" way to get rid of this BETA program. Perhaps through terminal there is a magic command. I would appreciate anyone's thoughts, help, ideas.

Thanks, Bouldaire

You can use Synaptic Package Manager to remove software that you installed with a deb file.
