I am trying to end the countless off-topic SPAM post made in other threads that I have made, What exactly do you expect?

I have never heard of a new user joining a forum and making an attack on established users either. Unless you are a duplicate account of a former user?

Did I hit a nerve?

Anyway I don't feed trolls, so goodbye. ;)

i haven't booted into some OS other than linux or bsd for some time now, but i understand what you say, even though i can't agree to it

the only problem with OS bashers are that they think that if one uses a "worse" OS, he has a problem. most can't see that each os does a job, not every one can meet one's needs

I don't mind people making a lot of threads if they are not pointless.Neither do I. However, the OP makes mostly useless and pointless threads...just like Rav Tux...hmmm...maybe s/he's back with a new name...

Also, in most of the threads the OP makes, s/he ends up personally attacking those who have pointed out that s/he makes useless threads, or disagrees with a point made by the OP.

If this were my forum (and I do run one...albeit on a completely different, non-computer related site), I would have closed many of the threads, warned the OP to STOP making personal attacks (really, the threads, while useless, can be entertaining), and they would have been banned by this time.

"Happiness Now" is how I felt when I first found Ubuntu. :P

Almost any non-tech-support topic may be discussed here. Discussions on religion and politics are not allowed, except for politics directly related to free and open source issues. I think the OP needs to calm down a little with making threads, and maybe set a quality threshold before he posts, to decide if it's really worth it. Quite a few of the threads are really banal, and really just ask a stupid question like 'do you like cheese?'. Personally I can see why it bugs some people, I've taken to not reading those threads as they're not relevant to my interests, but others may take offence at this stuff pushing more interesting threads off page 1.

So, in summary, consider a policy of more quality, less quantity.

While Quantity is easy to quantify, quality is not and is more subjective.

The thing is it seems you're all butthurt about people not liking your massive numbers of threads (the first few posts on here verify that) but when given advice about why people are being that way and what you can do about it, you do nothing, but brush aside the constructive criticism. Honestly then, either cut it down or stop being so sensitive.

PS while quality is subjective, I think most of us would agree that a thread "Do you like cheese?" (which is about the level of most of your threads) would be extremely boring.

while you have a point there I would say that the quality of the treads here in UF forums are limited a lot by not as opposed to the new ostalk not allowing political subjects.

threads needs to be neutral here or have something directly related to open source.
i have 3 treads here of which two are are about open source and is sort of political

this is aa tread i made about codecs and legal matters.
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=7857338#post7857338

this is a tread about something that happens in Denmark that has importance to us from Denmark.
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1250542

off course this is the one that is most neutral and has been answered by the highest amount of post..
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1233482

I dont think i have answered any other of OP treads before and i use these forums very little now.
background is that i am waiting for an eye operation so i dont see that well and i figure it is the best to stay out of the support forums.

I was talking about turnipsswedes - no idea what EDavidBurg was on about though ...

I saw that as weeds then weds before actually seeing it was swedes.

Kind of unrelated, but somewhat related. @ the OP, what should those of us who don't have Chinese input on our keyboard and don't feel like copying and pasting your name call you? (Apologies if it's not Chinese, my knowledge of eastern writing systems isn't the best).

My Japanese isn't perfect but if I'm not mistaken those kanji are pronounced "ima shiawase". Otherwise I'd think it's "ima koufuku".

I know he already told us to call him happy but I just thought i'd add this for completeness. :)
