I have made a desktop background and a replacement icon for the Lancelot Menu. I chose the logo mockup by fatbuttlarry because I think it's far nicer than the current one.

KDE 4.3 is very polished and clean from the start so I didn't want to change too much. Just wanted to make it apparent that it's actually Kubuntu. Tried to make it very simple. I found the standard Air theme a little to cluttered, but that's a matter of taste of course.

This is just an idea of the layout so the logo is a bit rough.. I'll work on it once I've decided about size the size and so on.

Give me some feedback!! :D

Hey, very nice. Lancelot in MHO does a better job of quickly getting to apps... than the Kickoff-menu does. Good job integrating the desktop and menu icon together, very Kubuntu-ish.

Thank you! Yes I also like Lancelot better even though it could be a little more intuitive. It seems that the modern trend is to make menus with a fixed size and instead of new lists popping up to display submenus they instead move around inside that single window. I don't think this makes things easier. I prefer a more classic style menu that is more straight forward and just throughs up new submenus instantly when clicking on for example "mulitmedia". But the classical menu in KDE 4.3 is very ugly so I'll stick with Lancelot for a while. =)

Did another experiment with a darker theme...
