Is there some reason system76 is not listed as on:

Maybe the Sys76 netbook was released too recently, and has not been tested yet.

Those are machines that you can buy from non-linux oems. You can use the list to find out to what degree they work with Linux.

We are a Linux oem and sell machines that work out of the box with Linux. So, we don't really fit neatly into that list.
