Host Web Server over VPN with SSH over Local Network

I was wondering if anybody knew how I would be able to use VPN for almost all traffic (web server, ftp and any other ports) but be able to access ssh over the local network the computer is on rather than accessing ssh through the vpn? It's pretty simple to have all traffic go through a PPTP VPN but I don't know how to use ssh on the local network, thanks.
