View Full Version : [all variants] Pangolin Performance Screen Options Gone?

I'm on the verge of a clinical depression. I'll be ready to place my order for a Pangolin next week, and I went to the System76 site to show a friend pictures of the new love of my life... and I noticed that the WSXGA screen option is missing. Please tell me somebody was playing with the html code and accidentally deleted it. I was planning on ordering it with that option. :cry:

I'm sorry. They just phased out that screen.

I've got ONE (and only one) Pangolin with a high-res screen. Call me if you want it.

Yowsers... The nicer screen and larger resolution was one of the bigger reasons I ran with a Pangolin, so I'm glad I ordered when I did :) Just curious, why did they phase it out because it seemed most people who talked about their PanP laptops ordered the larger screen.

Yeah, you're right. It was popular. I'm not sure why they phased it out. Probably a supply issue.

Wow, I'm really lucky then as I just got mine with the upgraded screen yesterday.

Oh bummer indeed! I was drooling after and was about to order a Pangolin Performance with the higher screen resolution but now that dream is shattered. I'll just have to start looking for another dream machine.

By the way, can someone please tell me when are the System76 laptops running Ubuntu 9.10 coming up? I am traveling to US late October (until Nov 3) and I wonder whether there will be enough time to order a machine with 9.10 or should I play safe and order one with 9.04?

We will release laptops with 9.10 as soon as Canonical releases stable 9.10. Some time in October.
