What I have is: Box 1, windows xp running a Sierra 595U mobile USB broadband. It acts like a modem and feeds the INTERNET input of a linksys broadband router (combo ethernet & wireless). I have 11 Machines behind the router along with another 8 port router, all with both windowsXP and Ubuntu Ibex and Jaunty as well as 2 ethernet printers. I want to eliminate the XP in box 1 and replace it with Ibex but I havent ben able to get Ubuntu to share the Sierra 595U. All boxes are automatic IP and the printers are fixed internally and on their own AC supply. In windowsxp, this works by sharing and networking. Not so in ubuntu. ANY IDEAS. I need directions not general ideas.

1. From the above post you can connect your modem to the internet.
2. For sharing your internet connection pl. check this https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Internet/ConnectionSharing
