Remote login to Edubuntu server

I have a running Edubuntu server with ltsp. I want to login to the server via VPN and start a graphical terminal session on my laptop at home. How can I do this ?

Not sure how helpful this is... but I would suggest using a VNC client/server. I've used VNC before for a remote graphical session and it's great. All you need to do is install the server/client on 2 computers and set up router port-forwarding and you're done. Nice and simple! Also not sure how well that fits the VPN criteria :D. It's just a thought...
