IrfanView - Strange Problem

IrfanView is one program I don't want to be without on Linux. I have a weird problem with it though. I installed it with WINE into the virtual Program Files area. It won't start though! No errors, no nothing. It just won't start from the command line or the "launcher". The Thumbnail browser exe that goes with it opens fine. The strangest thing is, if I double click on an image in the thumbnail browser, IrfanView starts right up! I can't understand it, why won't it start unless it's opened from another EXE - the thumbnail viewer?
