Hello everyone. I am new to the forums and to world of Linux as a whole. Yesterday I finally received my Starling from System76. I have to say I was very impressed with Netbook Remix and how easy it was to get going.

The wireless seemed to work fine (good range etc. since it came with the updated drivers). Anyway, yesterday everything was working fine. Today when I got back from work and booted the little guy up....nothing. The wireless light on the bottom right of the keyboard is off (while yesterday it was working) and I can't connect to any networks or anything. I tried FN+ F2 to turn on/off the wireless and that proved to do nothing. I checked all the settings and such. Did my wireless card die? It doesn't appear to be active anymore. Is there a good way to check this?

Any ideas? I am a Linux noob and would appreciate anything you guys might be able to suggest.

Thanks in advance

Well I ran the System76 Driver again, rebooted and then Held FN+F2 for about 30 seconds after reboot and the wireless light went on. Any idea what may have caused it to start out OFF like this?

or suggestions to prevent it from occurring again?

There is a little spring-loaded toggle switch on the front, right corner of your computer.

If you ever turn your Starling on and the wireless LED doesn't come on, press that switch *once* to the right. Then reboot, and your computer. The LED should then be on.

Thanks for the response, I'll try that if it happens again.
