hi
I am trying to find any cd label programme in linux which scans the CD and puts up the content of the cd on to the main cover template.
I tried the programmes like
Brasero cd writing tool
Koverartist
Discwrapper.
None of them have this feature of putting up the contents of cd.
Any help will be appreciated.

Are you simply looking for something that will download cover art and track listing when you insert a CD, or something else. If I have guessed correctly, then Amarok should satisfy your needs.

I gave up looking for one and installed Acoustica CD labelmaker with wine and somewhat good results.

I'm not aware of any program that has this function. But I do know that the developer of DiscWrapper http://discwrapper.sourceforge.net/ is always open to feature suggestions and ways he could improve his software.
I do notice that one feature is "Textfiles and K3b projects can be imported as a list" so if you were able to detect the contents of the cd/dvd and output that to a textfile, then it could be easily imported to the cover editor. I know it's a two-step process, but it's better than nothing.

Hi Stochastic
Thank you for your comments. well i solved this by installing CDR label in wine. So far so good. It is working without any glitch.
I will definitely take up this matter to the developers of discwrapper.
