I would like to play online poker using Pokerstars.net but when I go to download it, it only has a .exe file, is there any way that I can get its program to work on my computer?

You could run wine and install the program through it, it seems to have a gold rating at the wine apps database, using the latest wine version.

You cannot use a HUD to play on Pokerstars or Full Tilt through Wine, so a serious online player generally won't use Wine. Also, use the pokerstars.com client and not the .net client if you want to play for real money.

i got pokerstars running via wine with next to no problems. Didn't do anything specific.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but i was searching for information about playing pokerstars through wine, and this comment jumped out at me.

Does anyone know anyway of running a 'HUD' (HUD is a poker term - its software for poker stats basically ) in linux?
