Hiya, System76 and Ubuntu Forums!

My current PC is a dinosaur on it's last leg. It's only a matter of time before something terrible happens. I'm researching parts for a self-built PC, as I'm a diehard builder. The problem is, as much joy as I get from building a PC, I'm not sure I'm up to the headaches this time around. This brings my interest to System76.

1. How upgradable are the desktops if you install upgrades yourself? Does this void the warranty?

2. What kind of motherboards do the Ratel and Wild Dog use?

3. Are there any internal pics of the Ratel and Wild Dog?

Thanks!

They are pretty upgradeable. If you click on the picture of the system on our website, it will give you a list of expansion slots.

2. What kind of motherboards do the Ratel and Wild Dog use?

We typically don't post this info online, as it changes from time to time (for instance, we've been through six interations of both the Ratel and the Wild Dog). But shoot me an email (support--at-system76--dot--com) and I'll let you know what we currently use.

3. Are there any internal pics of the Ratel and Wild Dog?

No.
