Is anyone else having problems since the WINE 1.1.28 update last week?

I've been playing EVE for months with no problems at all, having followed the various install guides dotted around t'interwebnet.

Since WINE updated to 1.1.28 it has become unusable, random crashes, graphics glitches and generally not playing nicely with PulseAudio(loses sound engine).

I've tried upgrading my Nvidia driver to 190 from 185....no change!
I've uninstalled/reinstalled WINE....no change!!
I've rolled back to WINE 1.1.24 (supposedly the most EVE friendly version)....no change!!!
I've uninstalled/deleted EVERYTHING to do with WINE, EVE or Nvidia and reinstalled.....still no change!!!!

I'm stumped. Anyone got any bright ideas? I've trawled the WINE AppDB but no-one else seems to be having the same problem.

Not sure what's happening here. It's now working...just.It's running very slow. I know my rig isn't high end but the old classic EVE client ran much better than the newer Apocrypha client. Anyway it working but with ALL effects and animations turned off.

The 190.xx nVIDIA drivers are BETA, so that could be part of your problem.

When you say your rig isn't high end, what do you mean? What hardware do you have?
