I am on the look out for a new one and i would like to get a list going of soundcards that are compatible with Ubuntu. I will be using it for recording my own songs into Ardour. I don't need a huge amount of inputs. I just would like a list and see if anything interests me. Thanks everyone :D

An old used or old stock pci M-Audio 24/96 will likely be the easiest to use, best supported in software, and nearly the best sounding, around $40-$80,, midi, digital, and analog i/o. Cards costing double and more may or may not sound better.
Cheers
