lately, i haven't been able to watch any youtube videos in totem. i can search for a video, and a thumbnail of it comes up. when i double-click on it to play it, i get this error:

An error occurred
Could not open location; you might not have permission to open the file.

i am running jaunty and it is all up to date, and i have tried restarting the computer too.

It's weird, my friend's having the same problem on his newly installed & updated Jaunty installation. Very odd.

I am having the same problem. Any news about this issue? Any way to fix it?

Nothing odd about it. Probably be fixed in an update or two. Jaunty is released but some would not call it stable. It is still going through some changes (as evidenced by instances of the same problem occurring for different users). You probably also have the same 'latest' updates.

This is bad behavior of YouTube Team IMHO. They are trying to force us to go to site and whatch ads.

Try youtube-dl. It's in the repos.
