Hello all. I have a website and im using Joomla. Now i cant work in the administrator back end cos i lost the password. I tried recovering it by using Xampp and entering my adminPhp. Problem is that when i see "database" on the left, my website database is nowhere to be found. No drop box, nothing. How can I recover/change my password if I cannot get into it? Please help.

I haven't used Joomla for a while but doesn't it has a password recovery email function?

Failing that, do you have phpmyadmin installed? Using that would probably be your best bet.

I've no experience with current implementations of XAMPP

It's an old post but should still be relevant:
