Complete Freeze on Wireless Network Connect

Hey guys,

I'm using the latest download from the site, Ubuntu 9.04, and I've got it working just fine on two very similar PC's.

The only problem is... wireless. I went through alot of hassle to install the missing drivers (madwifi, broadcom and bwfcutter were used) and it finally worked.

Here's the lineup:
-Plug in Wireless Network Card Adapter
-Finds Network
-Input network password
-Freeze


The Wireless card is a Linksys WPC54GS Version 2.1, the PC uses an Asus P4S8L motherboard.

I am unable to do *anything* after the freeze, not even shut down, only holding down the power button long enough works.

Any thoughts?

Getting the same problem. Running 9.04 and computer crashes when connecting to wireless network. If I stay offline, the computer works great (if you can consider a computer without internet great). :P
