anyone know of a good way to record a video of my desktop? ive been tweaking a bit, and id like to record some of the nifty things i just found out compiz-fusion can do.

been trying to get desktop cube to be a dodecahedron, but thats not working out so well. any ideas?

Go to Applications->Add/Remove. Search for screen capture. Check gtk-recordmydesktop. Hit apply. When installed, it will be under Applications->Sound & Video.
I hope that helps.

Yes you can as you discovered. It's just that I always try to instruct how to do stuff with the GUI because it's annoying when people say you have to know the command line to use Linux.
