Audio issues on the System76 Darter (white)

I've got a Darter from System76 running Ubuntu 9.04 and I'm ALWAYS having issues with the audio. I always get the internal mic which can only pic up my internal mic and not the mic I'm plugging in via the microphone jack. heres what my audio card is
