OK I am a complete novice here so if someone could kindly fill in the blanks and some code for me I would appreciate it thanks......

First off I downloaded linuxq3ademo-1.11-6.x86.gz.sh
I managed to mkdir q3demo through another tutorial on google then another tutorial to unpack the file into the directory.
Here's where the fun started, because the installer is a 32bit application it would not run on the 64bit platform so I downloaded linux32 and another file lib32 or something like that. And then the fun realy started. it took me like hours to work this out.
To cut a long story short, the code to make the setup.sh run is:

"sudo linux32 bash setup.sh"

I must have read dozens of web pages trying to find out how to do this but had no luck anywhere, nobody could do it. The installer is now running but I have not yet got as far as actually playing the game I was so excited. Had to share.....

If someone could write a proper guide how to download q3a, mkdir, unpack the file and download the linux32 files I would be realy greatfull thanks.....:guitar:

As I said, the installer is running, if I am not back shortly, you will know the game is running......

Before I start bouncing off the walls I have a problem at the end of the installation, (which completed successfully.)

"If you run a game as root, the preferences will be stored in
root's home directory instead of your user account directory.
Continue? [N/y]"

I don't realy want to run the game as root do I?
Will this mean I will only be able to play the game as root?
Also does this mean the game has been installed as root?

Game works great but no sound. It's quick,,,,, real quick.......
I'm not realy supprised the audio doesn't work on a HD audio card but if I get a fix I will post back..
I chose no at the end of the installation, and to start the game I had to go to /usr/local/bin or games. Is there a way to get it to launch from Applications>games?
