Trying to watch some flash videos from Comedy Central, and it seems to skip straight to the end of the movie, not entirely sure why.

I'm currently running Ubuntu 9.10 (Alpha 4 with latest updates) and have the flashplugin-installer installed, so sort of the latest, trying to watch in firefox 3.5

Anyone have any ideas? I've done some searching and seem to be able to find a number of posts with the same question, but can't find any actual answers?

Can you provide a specific link to a video that you are having trouble with?

I just watched a funny 5 min video of Jon Stewart interviewing David Cross. I'm running Linux Mint 7 Gloria (based on Jaunty 9.04) with Firefox 3.0.13. Runs just fine for the unwashed masses.

Try this one

Jon Stewart (http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/wed-august-19-2009/fox-news--the-new-liberals)

I get the adverts before and after, but not the actual content.

I watched the entire clip. Less funny than David Cross.

Under Tools--Addon's--Plug-ins

I'm using the gecko 0.9.4 media player as configured by the Minty folks.

So it works out-of-the-box on Linux Mint 7.

Was it working before but not now? Did you add any plugins lately? The only plugin that I installed was Adblock 1.1.1.

So this is either a regression from Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10 or firefox 3.0.13 to 3.5.2, so something else. What does your Tools-Error Console say?
