As much as I'd like to be an inspiration, I think the tag should be 'aspiring'.

This is for the one-starred folks on the forums.

Yeah, I noticed that first time I visited the forums. Though some tech types seem to be pretty verbose and language- and vocabulary-adept, others are obviously not. You'll find other such peccadilloes (or should that be peccadillos?) if you pick around the site some more.

Unless it was intended to be a play on words, I wish they would change it to the proper "aspiring". If it was unintentional, the improper grammer on the "official" Ubuntu forum does not reflect well on the extreme stability and polish of Ubuntu itself.

I don't, however, mean to be an insufferable nit-picker on the maintainers and mods of the Ubuntu forums - they do a fantastic job. But it would be nice if they made sure spelling and grammer were correct. It would give a better image to the Ubuntu community, as well as Ubuntu itself. :D

I wondered how long that would take... I choose inspiring, its not a mistake.

Inspiring:
"To stimulate to action; motivate:"
Ubuntu in my mind stimulates the linux community..

"To stimulate energies, ideals, or reverence: a leader who inspires by example."
Becoming a "inpsiring guru" lead by example share your thoughts and knowledge.

"To affect, guide"
Share your knowledge guide the people who do not know....

/end rant..
