I have owned a hp compaq 2230s. With a liveCD of ubuntu 8.04 I couldn't here voices.
I searched but didn't find any compatible driver for hp compaq 2230s devices.

I remastered my installed ubuntu 9.04 (on my Desktop PC) and made a liveDVD, the sounds on my laptop were enabled. so I installed the DVD.

But an other problem: when I want to play a movie with totem or mplayer or xine, when in fullscreen mode, suddenly the session hangs and the log on environment appears. This also happens when I right click onthe screen of a playing movie.

The graphic card is:
model: Mobile 4 series chipset integrated Graphic controller.
Vendor: intell corporation (Hewlett-Packard company)

what's the sollution do you think?

I noticed that the Nvidia drivers that where installed in the remastered DVD conflicts with the intel card.

another question, is it possible to enable 3d support for this graphic card?!
