View Full Version : [ubuntu] wireless internet problems

i just recently switched over to the newest verson of ubuntu and i dont have internet nor can i connect to my home network. I have a netgear rangemax router and a reciever(i dont know the details). when i had windows, it was fine and as soon as i switched it over to ubuntu, nothing. i can only do wireless networks so now what do i do? how do i connect to my network!? clicked on the network settings and all that stuff on ubuntu but theres no wireless networks or anything. i think i need a driver for my networking device but how do i do that!?

if you have windows sa dual boot, the best thing would be to install correct version of ndiswrapper .....

so ive figured out something i guess. my computer doesnt have ndiswrapper. when i searched for it and asked for it to install, it says it cannot find the file. how do i get it? and btw im not running dual boot, its totally ubuntu. also, i learned that my wireless device is a either a netgear WPN311 or a netgear WN311T
