Panel disappearance

Hey,

I've just installed ubuntu 9.4 jaunty, did all the upgrades that there were and when I restart my laptop the panels at the top and bottom of my desktop have disappeared.

I can access all my programs and files, but with a lot of difficulty.

does anybody have a solution to my big problem?

do you have compiz enabled?

How can I check, I don't know how to see it. I'm new here.

alt. + f2, type "ccsm" if it is there will open compiz management..

or, did you enable desktop effects?

I found the solution, just had to go to /usr/bin/ and then click on gnome-panel and they appeared again, but thanks for the help :)

Thats a strange solution ><
