Hi,
I am running mythbuntu 9.04.
I have somehow managed to get a "welcome" screen up when booting my mythbox (which is a slave backend/frontend), when I didn't used to. It does eventally log me in, but after 30 seconds, after which mythfrontend starts. Upon examining my top output one night, I notice there are 2 mythfrontend.re processes. So I get out the keyboard, do an alt tab, sure enough I can flip between two different mythfrontends. So I quit out of one, in which I get an extra option I haven't seen before "quit and shutdown". I don't do that, I just exit the frontend. So I scratch my head, do a reboot, watch the box start, and I see 2 mythfrontends start. I go into the mythbuntu control panel, to see about my startup options. I then turn off autologin to see what happens when I reboot again. I need to log in this time obviously at the welcome screen, but this time only one mythfrontend starts. So apparently, the option to autologin on the mythbuntu control panel is launching another mythfrontend? How can I get rid of the welcome screen? Does anyone have a theory as to why 2 front end process are starting on an autologin boot? I'd appreciate it.

Thanks
David J.
