I work at a casino, mostly dealing with the computer system they have here (red hat and fedora) and light networking. Its a pretty good job.

Im still in college and plan on becoming a programmer.

My current occupation is mostly job interviews and Emailing my CV. So far it doesn't pay too well, and still hadn't got a promotion. I'm thinking of quiting.

Best Buy, I work most departments.
I try to educate instead of telling them what is good or bad, but it usually ends up that way.

In Vegas? going to CSN? Scary, we may know each other but, then again, we may not.

It's dead here right now... but we are supposed to have a county wide vote on a new hospital project that will be a billion dollar project..... crossing my fingers and hoping it gets done....

Sweet, good luck. We had a few buildings that were going to be condo/hotels but they decided to glass in the top floors and leave them gutless. Last year a bunch of multimillion dollar projects just shut down without warning. Handed out last checks and locked the gates.

Since then I have been taking 16 credits a semester to help me get a better career started.

Yep, same thing here...

We were building a new transmission plant for Chyrsler and the bottom fell out of the economy... they filed bankruptcy and we didn't get paid for the work we had done... Company went under.... they couldn't take a multi-million dollar hit like that...

I bet. If it weren't for that big tax refund for buying a new house last fall, we would have sunk already. Luckily I have the GI Bill to help things out while in college.

It is amazing, my brother was a big Bush fan and he denied it being Bushes fault the economy sank and he lost his company and had to take job for about 10 an hour.

I could go on all day dogging Bush, but I would be wasting my breath, the damage is done. I just pray that the people we elected get the lead out and fix our country. Harry Ried ruined about 5,000 jobs when he shut down the Nuclear Waste project they had going here. Saved a few dollars today but now the power companies are going to sue the government because they are the ones who have been paying for this waste site to be built for the past 40 years.

I didn't know that. I worked on UH60s (blackhawk) in the Army. I didn't mind working on them but I hated being in a support unit. I was a retread from being a tanker. Of coarse I also managed to tick my commander off so much that he refused to sign for me to get my A&P.

Small world...I worked with the Australian Army as a contractor for a while on our Blackhawks and Iroquois - moved over the the new NHI MRH90 now.

Started off life as an airline apprentice in 92, then ended up in defence contracting when the airline went bust in 2000...and still stuck here lol
