I could watch the MSNBC video streams flawlessly under Hardy. Upgrading to Jaunty seems to have dropped that from its repertoire. Any workarounds? I'm using a Dell Inspiron 1525.

UPDATE: Figured it out. I'd tell you what the solution is, but frankly I don't what I did. MUNNG until not no good. It had nothing to do with flash, though -- and everything to do with the fact that clean install wiped out my former state.

Try completely removing flash and reinstalling it. Just another reason to do a clean install instead of upgrade.

Thanks. Yes, sorry for bad terminology. I installed from the current Jaunty disk image, not upgrading -- upgrade was even worse.

Yes, I removed all flash packages and installed Adobe Flash from Adobe's website, in spite of the warning about newer packages available.

That seems to have cleared up some YouTube issues with sound and hesitating playback. But the MSNBC stuff is still gone.
