Creating sound effects

Hi there,

I'd like to create some small sound effects. Anyone know of some good software capable of helping me do that? I have Audacity, but that's not really what I'm looking for.

Usually the foley guys use an audio editor (like audacity or rezound), a nice microphone, and some imaginative sound production techniques (hitting slabs of beef for kung-fu sound effects, slapping pieces of sheet metal, etc...).

Can you be a bit more specific as to what you're attempting to accomplish?
