View Full Version : [ubuntu] Why does update manager have more updates avail than apt-get upgrade?

Thread title is self explanatory. My update manager has 11 updates available whereas sudo apt-get upgrade has 3 files that need upgrading and 4 that can be but wont upgrade. Can anyone explain why this is? I took a screenshot.

may be cause you need to change that to sudo apt-get update
