Hi,
I just bought myself a Linux server with Ubuntu running on it.
I'm trying to install Call of Duty 1 on it but I don't have the CD's.
( The server is located in Germany, so I can't bring the CD's )
So I need to download it from somewhere with "wget" and install it, but I have absolutely no idea where to find it.
Could you please help me out?

Regards, Strega

You can order the game here: http://www.amazon.com/Call-Duty-Deluxe-Pc/dp/B000922E0S/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1250602664&sr=8-4

Then ship it to Germany.

I don't think there is anywhere to legally download the game and if I remember right, they don't condone piracy on the forums.

P.S.- Don't bump your thread after an hour. Give people a chance to help you, these forums are a great place to get help. Most people will tend to think someone who does this is annoying.

Good Luck!

Thank you for the replie.
Well, I thought you could download CoD1 to your ubuntu server (as a gamehost ) like you can with Counter Strike Source with the following codes.

wget http://www.steampowered.com/download/hldsupdatetool.bin
chmod +x hldsupdatetool.bin
./hldsupdatetool.bin
./steam
./steam -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir .
./srcds_run -console -game cstrike +map de_dust -maxplayers 16 –autoupdate

yes you can, just google it. I havent found it because it is an old game and there are many versions of that game, but I found many downloads for dedicated servers (linux of course) which are the wrong version. Just to something like "call of duty dedicated server" and if you know the latest patch for it you should include it in the search string.
