Hi
I friend of my have a server for samba, apache, mysql and that.
I was thinking maybe to add mythbuntu backend on it and use a little computer to connect to the TV.
I wonder if that is a good idea to add a backend on a server?
if that is ok we just need to install a TV-card and then mythbuntu backend on the server and a frontend on the little computer.

Yes, it shouldn't be a problem at all. What are the machine specs?

Ok, that's definitely powerful enough. The only thing you need is a big hard disk to store the recordings on. You definitely don't want to record anything to the 32GB SSD as it would fill up within a week. Use a 500GB disk as a minimum.

When using a DVB-T (sure same for C and S) card on a server it doesn't appear to push the hardware at all really.
