I have an HP 1151NR. I installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix and it works great but it doesn't detect the integrated Verizon EVDO card. I've Googled all over the place, but couldn't find anything useful.

I went to HP's site and downloaded their custom Linux image dubbed HP Mobile Internet Experience (MIE), hoping that it would come with EVDO support, but as far as I can tell it does not. MIE also appears to be Ubuntu based.

Can anyone give an Ubuntu newbie some help?

Thanks.

Oh, and just to clarify a bit, I'd rather get EVDO working in either UNR or one of the other standard Ubuntu distros. The UI of HP's MIE is really bad...
