I had heard something about the Caviar Greens spinning down when not in use, to store power, which is problematic in a raid array, as it thinks the drive has died.

I'm not sure if there is truth to this.

I'm interested in it myself. Personally, I'd like to go with the Caviar Greens as they use less power.

I'd like my media server that is running 24/7 to use the least amount of power as possible.

But obviously speed and reliability are a concern as well.

I found another drive I was hoping for some feedback on

SAMSUNG EcoGreen F2 HD103SI 1TB 5400 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - OEM (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152173) New Egg has a good deal on them right now.
