View Full Version : What's after Dapper?

Well, it's the 1st of February, and Dapper is due for release in less than three months. So can anyone confirm whether the Ubuntu team has come up with a name for the post Dapper release?
So far, we've had Warty Warthog, Hoary Hedgehog, Breezy Badger and now the upcomming Dapper Drake. I would like to suggest 'Percy Possum 6.10' as a possible name for the next release. I would be interested to hear other suggestions on names for the post-Dapper releases. You never now - you might write it here and the Ubuntu guys might take a liking to it!

Yeah - I was hoping for some good names to come about over the next day or so, and then convert this thread into a poll (including mine of course).
So if you keep them coming, when we have 6 or 7 good ones I'll swap this over to a poll, and we'll see what happens.

Call it Purring Panther please!:) I love 'em cats! And by the way, do the panthers purr?
First of all, I'm quite sure that there is a difference in the construction of vocal cords between Felis cats and Panthera cats (small/domestic and large/wild) that makes small Felis cats able to purr but not roar and the Pantera cats able to roar but not purr. Or something like that.
Secondly, I think that the theme to look for in names is african origin, or at least african connection. So, my suggestions:
Roaring Rhino
Zappy Zebra
Likable Lemur
Gentle Giraff
Moxy Mamba
...or something like that.

do a google [define:bestiality] and you get this
Sexual contact with animals; also known as zoophilia So animals on animals is game. yet you are correct greenpenguin that should be avoided in general.
